Physical Sciences Question Bank

v1.6 December 2016

For copyright reasons this resource is password protected, but the use of the questions is free to all UK HE and FE academic and educational development staff. If you do not already have an account, then click on the register link below.

When you have opened the bank, make sure you select your preferred target from WebCT, Moodle, Blackboard, Perception (Questionmark), PowerPoint, Printing (i.e. a Rich Text ".rtf" document you can read into Word or similar, and then view or print), or QTI v1 or QTI v2 xml. Various help buttons provide assistance in the use of the features to which the buttons are adjacent. The most general help is nearest the subject tree at the top on the left.

When questions are downloaded for a selected target assessment system you will have to handle the import into that system. Instructions about how to perform these imports are provided under the help buttons in the various download windows that appear (bottom right) after the checkout button has been pressed. If you selected one of the QTI formats, then the questions will be downloaded in xml for you to import into a suitable system of your choice.

Please note that whilst we try to ensure that the questions offered here are of a reasonable quality and that the various categorisations are appropriate, no representations are made as to the suitability of the questions for any particular purpose.
